Snorkeling Camp (Single Day)
A guided, ocean-focused day built around skill-building, confidence, and exploring San Diego’s best nearshore spots.
- Guided snorkel sessions with a break (campers bring lunch)
- Locations vary by conditions

Discover Scuba Camp (Single Day)
A pool-based introduction to scuba with supervised, shallow-water training — built for safety, comfort, and confidence.
- Dry-land intro + pool session with an instructor
- Depth expectations are set for the entire group to keep things consistent and safe
- Medical questionnaire required before any scuba activities
M–F Summer Day Camp (Weeklong)
The full Junior Dive Academy week: marine science + ocean days + pool-based scuba experiences, designed to build real water skills and confidence.
- Half-day classroom + half-day water activities
- Includes guided ocean snorkeling + pool scuba session(s)
- 2026 Themes: Cetacean Migrations (July 20–24) + Sea Lions & Seals (Aug 3–7)
- Campers can earn their PADI Skin Diver certification during camp
- JDA Recognition: encourage campers to earn recognition after completing 3 week-long JDA camps

Age Guidelines (quick clarity)
- Most programs are designed for ages 8–12.
- Age 13+ may be considered on a case-by-case basis.
- For pool scuba activities, the group’s maximum depth is set by the youngest camper (typically 6–12 ft).

- Does my camper need prior snorkeling experience? Not necessarily — campers should be comfortable swimming in the ocean and willing to participate.
- Can my camper earn a cert? Yes — campers can earn their PADI Skin Diver certification during camp.
- Where are locations? Locations vary based on ocean conditions and visibility.
- What should we bring? Water bottle, sun protection, towel, warm clothes for changing, and any lunch/snacks as required for the day.
