The UK has also introduced its new patented optics system, which focuses about 90% of the lumen output of the light into the center of the beam.

This reduces backscatter and greatly improves beam brightness by cutting down on stray light. Many other lights out there report high lumen output, but much of those lumens are lost to the periphery as stray light and do not contribute to brightness - a problem impressively solved by UK's beam optics system.
