The PADI Emergency First Response® (EFR) Primary Care (CPR) and Secondary Care (First Aid) course gives you the confidence and skills to assist in any emergency situation—not just diving. Whether you're a diver, instructor, boat captain, or just someone who wants to be prepared, this course delivers real-world life-saving skills in a flexible, engaging format.

With a blend of online eLearning and in-person instruction at our San Diego dive center, this course is accessible, comprehensive, and internationally recognized. Study at your own pace, then practice hands-on skills with your instructor in a supportive learning environment.

Course Breakdown

  • eLearning (2–4 hours): Complete coursework online with interactive videos and step-by-step guides. Start anytime on your schedule.
  • In-Person Training: Practice CPR using training manikins, learn how to bandage and splint injuries, and build muscle memory through role-playing emergency scenarios.

This course is a prerequisite for the PADI Rescue Diver course and all PADI professional-level certifications (Divemaster, Instructor, etc.). It's also perfect for workplace requirements, childcare providers, or anyone seeking CPR certification in Southern California.
